“We work in the dark to serve the light. We are assassins”
So I watched the Assassin’s Creed Movie last night and it was everything I expected and more. Everyone who knows me has an idea about my mild obsession with medieval fantasy/old world movies and TV shows. I get a rush from watching them and every so often, I like to imagine that I would have thrived in those worlds. Maybe as a gladiator or some sort of rebel. cc Spartacus.
I played the first 6 Assassin’s Creed games, I successfully completed “Brotherhood”, “Revelations” & “Black Flag”. The series became quite monotonous for me. It felt like the same levels and underlying structure with different story lines, but ever since watching the movie, I feel like it’s my duty to go back and revisit all the games. I love the creed and everything the assassins stand for.
Michael Fassbender did one hell of a job in nailing the role of Callum Lynch, Jeremy Irons has never disappointed me especially since I watched him play the role of the Borgias Pope.
“The blood that flows through you is not your own. It belongs to the Creed. “
For those who haven’t watched it, you totally should. Whether or not you are a fan of the game series, if you can appreciate a good storyline this movie is definitely for you.
The Assassin’s Creed Movie is definitely something to write home about.
Oh and spoiler alert; there might just be a sequel in the works. So be on the lookout for that.
P.S. This is not a review 🙂
I’ll leave you all with this pretty awesome quote from the creed;
“Nothing is true, everything is permitted.”
